Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Conor McGregor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xander Moral (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGregor comes to the cage accompanied by El Chapo. Conor McGregor has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Conor McGregor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Xander Moral!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Anthony Taglia and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moral shoots for a double leg takedown but McGregor sprawls well. He's pushed Moral's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

McGregor has closed the distance and engaged Moral in a clinch.
Moral tries to pull guard but McGregor forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
McGregor avoiding damage as Moral throws knees to the body.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Moral holding his opponent close, against the cage.
McGregor wants to break the clinch but can't.
McGregor lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Moral tries to pull guard but McGregor forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
McGregor keeping full guard, as Moral tries to pass.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

McGregor drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

McGregor decides to stand up, so the ref orders Moral to his feet.
Conor McGregor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Moral takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Moral rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McGregor moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Moral should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

McGregor has managed to clinch.
Moral tries to pull guard but McGregor holds him up against the cage and eventually Moral drops back down to his feet.
McGregor drops down looking for an ankle pick but Moral pulls his leg out and moves away.
Moral fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
We've been told by McGregor's head coaches at Cozad MMA New York that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

McGregor drives through and clinches with Moral against the cage.
Moral is trying to pull guard but McGregor turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Moral has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by McGregor after a bit of a struggle.

Moral misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from McGregor.

McGregor controls Moral momentarily but Moral frees himself.
McGregor wants to hit a switch here but Moral passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for McGregor there!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Moral can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as McGregor is looking to escape.

Moral wants to control the pace but McGregor is squirming around nicely.
Moral throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for McGregor because Moral loaded up on that one.

Xander Moral has got the better of the ground game so far.
Moral content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

McGregor wants to get back to his feet.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Moral is trying to control. McGregor wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from McGregor is defended easily by Moral.

Xander Moral showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Even with his hooks in, Moral manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Moral has the hooks in. McGregor is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Moral patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
McGregor is trying to stand back up.

Moral is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. McGregor knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften McGregor for a finish.

McGregor takes a big shot to the side of the head.
McGregor is trying to get back to his feet but Moral has full control of the position and if anything, McGregor has just worked his way into a worse spot.

McGregor is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Moral is trying to control but McGregor is trying to escape here - he's now mounted.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
McGregor tries to hold on but Moral postures up.

Moral is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, McGregor has managed to escape the submission attempt.
McGregor wants to hold on but Moral pushes him away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
McGregor gets back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McGregor is trying to maintain the position but Moral is very close to passing his half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Xander Moral comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Moral has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
