Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tony Kazarian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Banner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kazarian kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Limp Bizkit - My Way. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 35 - 19 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tony Kazarian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bruce Banner!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kazarian swinging wildly here.
Kazarian scores with a sloppy right hand. Banner should have avoided that one.
Banner feints a jab promting Kazarian to slip. Banner then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kazarian slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Kazarian takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Banner has closed the distance and engaged Kazarian in a clinch.
Kazarian takes a knee right on the jaw!
Kazarian tries for a takedown but Banner manages to get underhooks.
Banner lands an elbow inside.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Kazarian breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Banner darts in and clinches Kazarian up against the cage.
Banner told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.
Kazarian drops down looking for an ankle pick but Banner pulls his leg out and moves away.

Banner clinches up with Kazarian and pushes him back against the cage.
Banner lands an elbow inside that Kazarian shrugs off.
Banner scores with a shot to the side of Kazarian's head.

Banner breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Banner tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kazarian paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kazarian ducks under a wild hook from Banner.
Kazarian was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
A combination from Kazarian does no damage.

Banner rushes Kazarian and presses him up against the cage.
Banner prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tony Kazarian. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Banner breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Banner moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
No joy there for Kazarian, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Banner tries to counter by closing the distance.

Banner moves into the clinch.

Banner manages to break the clinch.
Banner blocks a jab.

Banner moves into the clinch.

Banner breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Banner clobbers Kazarian with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kazarian blocks a head kick by Banner.
Banner fails in his attempt to clinch.
Kazarian connects with a crisp jab.

Banner gets a clinch.
Kazarian tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Banner smiles and moves away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Good shot there by Kazarian.

Kazarian shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Banner is trying to defend but Kazarian finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Banner is defending against the submission attempts here by Kazarian.
Kazarian prevents Banner from improving his position.
Banner is still trying to improve position.

Kazarian is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Banner doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kazarian.
The fighters are battling for position here. Banner manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kazarian working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Banner's head.
Kazarian postures up.

Kazarian postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Banner is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kazarian, into his guard.


Kazarian working for a triangle but Banner defends it easily.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Banner trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Banner trying to control the position from guard on top but Kazarian is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Banner advances position into side control!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Banner tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Banner laying and praying for a moment but Kazarian takes advantage and regains half guard.

Banner is looking for a kimura but Kazarian is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Banner to get the leverage.
Banner keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Banner works his foot free and advances to mount.
Banner landing strikes, looking to finish!

Banner stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bruce Banner dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Banner on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Kazarian swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Banner gets caught napping as Kazarian dives in and scores a takedown. Banner manages to retain guard.
Banner is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Kazarian drops back looking for a leg! Banner is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Banner manages to kick Kazarian off! Kazarian jumps back into Banner's guard.

Banner is looking to cinch up a triangle. Kazarian throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Banner's body to avoid the submission. Banner has instead reached around Kazarian's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Banner arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Bruce Banner!
