Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Darwingh Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jermey Lin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lin misses with a head kick.
Lin shoots for a takedown but Alvarez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Lin uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Alvarez.
Alvarez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lin looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Lin has eaten all the pies!

Alvarez fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lin, pushing him back against the cage.
Lin goes for a takedown attempt but Alvarez pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Alvarez fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lin sprawls well initially but Alvarez persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Alvarez is taking a breather. Lin says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Lin wants to control but Alvarez is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Lin gets caught napping as Alvarez dives in and scores a takedown. Lin manages to retain guard.

Alvarez tries to keep at a distance but Lin has taken the fight into the clinch.
Alvarez fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Lin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Alvarez walks away with a smile on his face. Lin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Lin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Alvarez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lin is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Alvarez manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Lin on his heels. He'll look to pass Lin's guard now, I'm sure.
Alvarez is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lin can do to turn this around?

Lin throws a leg kick but Alvarez checks it.

Alvarez is pressed up against the cage. Lin has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Alvarez down to the mat. Alvarez avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
