Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Callum Tweedie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emil Saifutdinov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tweedie comes to the cage accompanied by Snow Patrol - Chocolate. Emil Saifutdinov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saifutdinov doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Saifutdinov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Tweedie throws a leg kick which misses Saifutdinov's front leg but catches the back leg as Saifutdinov tries to avoid it.
Saifutdinov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tweedie moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Tweedie counters with a stiff right hand.
No luck for Saifutdinov with that takedown attempt.
Tweedie thuds a left hand into Saifutdinov's body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Saifutdinov throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Tweedie is nestled in close to Saifutdinov, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Tweedie here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Saifutdinov tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Tweedie manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Tweedie went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Both fighters circling a little - Tweedie finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Callum Tweedie is winning the standup battle so far.
Saifutdinov throws a lazy body kick
and Tweedie makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and Tweedie holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Tweedie lands a big knee from the Thai clinch and Saifutdinov goes down hard! The ref takes a good look at him but he's still defending himself. Tweedie in side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tweedie is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Saifutdinov takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Tweedie continues to stall.
Saifutdinov gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Saifutdinov is desperately trying to improve his position but Tweedie has a good base and remains in mount.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Tweedie pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tweedie tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Tweedie wants to finish this one by submission but Saifutdinov is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Tweedie.
