Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Boris Slater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fidan Shabanaj (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Boris Slater!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fidan Shabanaj!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slater tries for a takedown but Shabanaj sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Shabanaj has closed the distance and engaged Slater in a clinch.
Shabanaj breaks the clinch.
Shabanaj fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Slater to the ground. Shabanaj is now in Slater's guard.
Slater can't keep his opponent in guard - Shabanaj advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Slater might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Shabanaj connects with a nice short shot to Slater's temple.
Slater could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Shabanaj content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shabanaj missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Shabanaj not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Slater is looking to control Shabanaj's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Slater avoid being mounted?
Shabanaj wants to stand up but Slater is controlling the position.
Shabanaj is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Shabanaj scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Slater is trying to control but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Shabanaj is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Shabanaj is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
It looks like Boris Slater has been cut.
Shabanaj seems to be looking for submissions.
Shabanaj looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Slater with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Shabanaj passes to full mount!
Slater is trying desperately to improve position.
The referee warns Slater that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Shabanaj has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Slater's face.
Slater is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round.
A big strike lands for Shabanaj! That's really hurt Slater and he's turned his back - Shabanaj keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Shabanaj jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Fidan Shabanaj!
