The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Long uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Geissen.
Geissen swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Geissen gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Long takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Good standup being displayed there by Long as he connects with a hook.

It looks like Shawn Geissen has been cut.
Geissen throws an off balance right hand

and Long moves into the clinch.
Long tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Geissen's elbow.
Geissen swings wildly with an uppercut but Long uses good head movement to avoid it.
Geissen has a couple of punches blocked by Long.
Long lands a left hand.

Long is trying to stall.
Geissen lands an elbow that stopped Long in his tracks for a moment.

Long can't find room to land a body shot as Geissen controls the action.

Geissen throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Long blocks it with crossed arms.

Geissen lands an elbow that stopped Long in his tracks for a moment.
Long lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Geissen tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Long on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Geissen blocking the ground and pound attempt from Long.
Geissen is refusing to be controlled, as Long sits in half guard.
Geissen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Long throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Long wants to take a breather but Geissen is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Long is looking to advance position but Geissen won't allow it.
Geissen tries to get to full guard but Long has control of the leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Long not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Long is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Geissen is just riding it out for now. Long eventually gives up the hold.
Long is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Geissen reverses the position - he's now on top in Long's guard.

Long is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Geissen is aware though and is defending well.

Long is looking to cinch up a triangle. Geissen throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Long's body to avoid the submission. Long has instead reached around Geissen's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Long arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

How Long decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
