Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nathaniel Razna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Michaels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nathaniel Razna!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Shawn Michaels!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Michaels has taken the fight to the clinch.
Razna is trying to drag Michaels to the mat but Michaels just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Razna misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Michaels.
Razna wants a takedown but no success here.
Razna tries to pull guard but Michaels holds him up against the cage and eventually Razna drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nathaniel Razna. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Michaels will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Razna up against the cage.

Michaels pulls Razna into guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Michaels is controlling Razna's posture.

Michaels is trying to keep Razna in close.
Razna wants to control from the top but Michaels keeps moving.

Razna got a little sloppy there for a moment and Michaels has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Razna has managed to get both his arms back between Michaels's legs - danger averted.
We've been hearing that Razna has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Razna postures up.

Michaels working for submissions but it's allowed Razna to get to half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Razna in particular looking to stall.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Michaels tries to kick Razna off but Razna keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Razna frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Razna looking for a guillotine from mount but Michaels is having none of it.
Razna takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Razna will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Michaels wants to control but Razna is having none of it.

Michaels is desperately trying to improve his position but Razna has a good base and remains in mount.
Razna avoids the attempt from Michaels to control.
Razna wants to control the pace but Michaels is squirming around nicely.
Michaels is looking to improve his position but Razna isn't that keen on the idea.
Michaels throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Razna controlling from the full mount.

Razna is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Michaels can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Razna is breathing heavily.
Michaels tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Razna wants to control the pace but Michaels is squirming around nicely.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Razna unloads with some shots from mount but Michaels bucks and avoids them well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Razna's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Razna tries to clinch up.
Razna misses with a two punch combination.

Razna instigates a clinch.
Razna is looking to break free of the clinch but Michaels has double underhooks.
Razna stalling in the clinch but Michaels improves position.

Michaels gets control of Razna's arms and successfully pulls guard. Michaels will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Michaels throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Michaels wants to stand but Razna is controlling the position.

Michaels has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Razna is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Razna tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Razna can't get the takedown.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Michaels turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Razna tries to improve position but can't.
Michaels throwing shots but missing, from side control.

Michaels is trying to get an arm triangle but Razna is defending well.
Razna is not content to let Michaels control the position.
Razna prevents Michaels from moving into mount.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Michaels tries to score with some ground and pound. Razna controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Razna tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Michaels wants to lay and pray for a moment but Razna keeps working.
Michaels taking a break here but Razna is having none of it and regains half guard.

Michaels decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Razna tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Michaels tries to counter by closing the distance.
Nathaniel Razna is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Michaels clinches.
Michaels pressing his opponent against the cage.
Razna tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Michaels has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Razna is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Michaels has Razna pressed against the cage.

Michaels manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Razna stands and throws Michaels's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Razna tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Razna wants to lay and pray for a moment but Michaels keeps working.
Michaels is trying to buck Razna off.

Michaels is not content to let Razna control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shawn Michaels showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Michaels shoots in looking for a takedown. Razna tries to sprawl out of it but Michaels keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Razna manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Razna fails with a takedown attempt.
Michaels wants to counter the offense by Razna and move into the clinch position.
Razna tries to close the distance and clinch up but Michaels swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Horrible takedown attempt by Razna or perhaps it was just good defense by Michaels, which made it look bad.

Michaels darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Michaels content to control rather than advance.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Razna is looking to escape.
Razna is looking for a sweep. Michaels is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Michaels controlling the action here.
Michaels really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Razna. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Michaels is continuing to stall.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Michaels missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Razna wants to clinch up but Michaels keeps it at a distance.
Razna shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Michaels pinned against the cage. Michaels gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nathaniel Razna. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Michaels gets a double leg takedown into Razna's guard.
Michaels stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Razna swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Michaels sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Michaels stands and throws Razna's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Razna wants to control but Michaels postures up.

Michaels scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Michaels is looking to take a break and control but Razna is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Razna is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Michaels has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Michaels tries to move into full mount but can't pass Razna's legs.
Razna is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Michaels tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

And that's the end of the fight!
Shawn Michaels comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Michaels has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
