Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alex De Nascimento (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sid Sicko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy left from Sicko finds it's target.
De Nascimento fails to land the takedown.
Sicko throws a leg kick which misses De Nascimento's front leg but catches the back leg as De Nascimento tries to avoid it.
De Nascimento takes one to the chin there.
Sicko throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Sid Sicko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sicko tries to clinch but De Nascimento is having none of it.
De Nascimento misses with a takedown
letting Sicko counter with a right hand.
De Nascimento clinches up with Sicko and pushes him back against the cage.

Sicko bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in De Nascimento's guard.

De Nascimento is pulling down on Sicko's head. It's preventing any offense from Sicko, at least for the moment.

Sicko throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck De Nascimento on the side of the head.
Sicko lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Sicko tests De Nascimento's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Excellent takedown into side control there by De Nascimento.
You can see the frustration on Sicko's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
De Nascimento stands up and we're back to a striking position.
A jab lands there for Sicko.
Sicko connects with a body shot that sends De Nascimento's belly button to the back.

De Nascimento walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
De Nascimento tries to clinch up but Sicko circles away and keeps his distance.

De Nascimento shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Sicko is trying to defend but De Nascimento finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Sicko is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but De Nascimento pulls his head out easily.

De Nascimento goes for a double leg but Sicko avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Sicko continues to drive forward.

Sicko throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent De Nascimento stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Sid Sicko showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Sicko lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
De Nascimento bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

De Nascimento decides to stand up, so the ref orders Sicko to his feet.

Sicko lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Sicko.
De Nascimento could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
