Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Major Lazer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Grace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lazer kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Major Lazer - Pon De Floor. Miguel Grace has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lazer misses with a series of wild punches.
Grace throws a counter combo.
Lazer throws a nice looking combination but Grace bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Grace is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Grace gets caught flat footed, as Lazer shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Grace has his foot on Lazer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lazer works his way back into a safe position though.
Lazer distracts Grace with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Lazer is in close to Grace's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Grace has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Palace of Pain Gym - VCL - Rio. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Lazer wants to pass the guard but Grace is keeping the position.

Grace working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lazer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lazer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Grace wants to sweep here but Lazer controlling him for the moment.

Grace has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lazer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Lazer stands up over Grace, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Grace is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lazer defends well.
Lazer is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lazer has hold of Grace's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Grace tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Lazer cranks the arm and Grace screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Grace, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Major Lazer!
Major Lazer took his opportunity to call for a title shot in his post fight interview.
