Carlton comes to the cage accompanied by 2Pac - I'm A Soldier (Echale Mojo Remix) . McLauglin has chosen You Belong To The City as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carlton lands a really nice looking cross but McLauglin seems unphased.

Kyle Carlton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McLauglin darts in and clinches Carlton up against the cage.

Carlton throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

McLauglin lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

McLauglin bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Carlton's head backwards.

McLauglin crunches a lovely knee into Carlton's ribcage.
McLauglin digs a right hand underneath Carlton's ribcage. Carlton let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Carlton is breathing heavily.
McLauglin manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Carlton pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Edward McLauglin's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Carlton misses with a straight right.
McLauglin is looking to clinch.
McLauglin has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Carlton throws a leg kick which misses McLauglin's front leg but catches the back leg as McLauglin tries to avoid it.

McLauglin is struggling to control the position.

Carlton breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
