Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gulun Shulun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anthony Ramirez had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 157.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramirez closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Shulun quickly recovers to half guard.
Shulun is trying to get back to full guard.
Ramirez is controlling the pace.
Ramirez wants to pass to mount but Shulun is defending the position.
Ramirez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Shulun keeps working.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ramirez tries to free his leg and advance position but Shulun is retaining full guard.
Shulun has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ramirez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Shulun is trying to control the position but Ramirez postures up.
Ramirez decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Shulun, up you get!

Ramirez wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Shulun's closed guard. He's half up but Shulun has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Shulun pivots and extends the arm, Ramirez falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Shulun! Well done that man!
