Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Charles Ng (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Deens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Charles Ng!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Leo Deens!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Colin Fotheringham and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deens throws a combination that misses
and Ng counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Deens takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Deens shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Ng fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Deens on the side of the head.
Ng throws a good cross that connects.
Ng misses with a body shot.
Deens misses with a hook. Ng ducked under it nicely.

Deens closes the distance and clinches.
Ng misses with a punch on the inside.
Deens blocks a body shot from Ng.
Ng misses with the head strike.
Ng blocks a body shot from Deens.

Ng breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ng throws out a loose jab but Deens uses good head movement to avoid it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Some wild striking there from Ng.
Deens misses with a two punch combination.
Deens misses with a hook.
Ng staying out of range there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Deens takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Deens throws a looping overhand right but Ng ducks down to avoid it.
Ng lands a nice looking body shot.
Deens tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ng was well out of range. Poor timing from Deens.
Deens doesn't manage to clinch there - Ng circles away.
Leo Deens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ng will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Deens lands an overhand right.
Deens takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.


It looks like Leo Deens has been cut.
Jab by Ng.
Ng is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Ng listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.


Deens is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Deens scores with a hook.
Ng moves out of range as Deens strikes.
Deens works over Ng's head and body with a nice combination.
Ng throws a good cross that connects.
Deens is still on wobbly legs! Can Ng finish him?
We've been told by Ng's head coaches at Zero Tolerance that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fight stays on the outside here - Deens looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Deens seems to have recovered his senses.
Deens throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Ng counters with a nice right hand that sends Deens toppling to the canvas! Deens scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Ng finish him?!
A cross from Ng lands.
Ng swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Deens throws a counter combo.
Deens fails in his attempt to clinch.
Deens misses with a hook.
Ng punishes Deens's body with a nice straight punch.
Deens misses with an uppercut. Ng saw that one coming.

Ng sends Deens crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Ng is motioning to the referee to let Deens up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!


That has opened up Leo Deens's cut even more.
Ng throws a hook to the side of Deens's head but Deens sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Deens ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ng moves away.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Ng knocks Deens out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Charles Ng!
Our winner, Charles Ng, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
