Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Darren Durrant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Baki Koba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Darren Durrant!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Baki Koba!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Bruno Hogan and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durrant scores with a jab to the body.

Durrant gets a takedown into half guard.
Koba is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Koba lands with a few short shots to the body.
Durrant trying to mount his opponent but Koba defends it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Durrant is stalling here. Koba is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Durrant seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Koba has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Koba is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Koba tries to score with some ground and pound. Durrant controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Koba is putting a hurting on Durrant here, landing some big shots from side control.

Koba tries for a kimura but Durrant is defending well.
Durrant knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Koba on the ground.

Koba has hold of Durrant's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Durrant tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Koba cranks the arm and Durrant screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Durrant, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Baki Koba!
A relieved looking Baki Koba thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
