Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Arturo Jiboia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nanu Negi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Negi's choice of entrance music: Blue eyes. Nanu Negi will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jiboia on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Negi connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Negi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jiboia thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Jiboia is nestled in close to Negi, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Jiboia is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Negi is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Negi manages to get back to half guard.
Negi wants to improve his position but Jiboia is controlling well.
Negi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jiboia. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Negi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That's time! Jiboia's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Negi fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jiboia.
Negi is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jiboia.
Jiboia tries to counter by clinching up but Negi breaks away and moves out of range.
Negi digs a good hook to Jiboia's body.
A punch lands to the side of Jiboia 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Jiboia walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Negi goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Jiboia changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Some bone on bone action there as Jiboia checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Negi scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Negi lands a right hook to the body.

A jab lands there for Negi.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Negi - that will leave a mark!
Jiboia on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Negi. Negi obviously looking to wear him down.
Jiboia will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Negi throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
As Negi tries to get set, Jiboia tries to push him back and clinch up but Negi manages to avoid the attempt.
Arturo Jiboia is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Jiboia shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Negi napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Negi tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jiboia wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Negi is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Jiboia is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Negi is trying to escape and Jiboia transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Negi is forced to tap! Nice work there by Jiboia! Very nice indeed!
