Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Charly Jimenez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Rand (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jimenez comes to the cage accompanied by Matador. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rand throws a head kick but Jimenez moves out of range.
Jimenez tries to move into range but Rand moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Rand pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Jimenez moves into the clinch successfully.
Rand has had enough of the clinch but Jimenez keeps him there for the moment.
Jimenez stalling in the clinch but Rand improves position.
Rand is trying to force a seperation but Jimenez has the dominant position.
Jimenez can't break the clinch.
Rand tries to break free but Jimenez pushes him back against the cage.
Jimenez tries to land knees in the clinch but Rand avoids the damage to the body.

Jimenez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Rand is trying to push Jimenez away but Jimenez has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Rand wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jimenez definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Jimenez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Jimenez takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Rand scores with a decent looking hook.
Jimenez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rand feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Jimenezs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Jimenez tries to clinch
and Rand counters with a straight that turns Jimenez's legs to rubber! Rand pushes forward with more strikes and Jimenez goes down, battered and bloody! That's a wrap folks!
