The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Popper closes the distance and clinches up with Fairtex, looking for a takedown. Popper pushes Fairtex against the cage but Fairtex circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Popper fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Fairtex throws a hook but Popper avoids it easily.
A solid leg kick lands there for Fairtex.

Fairtex stuffs the takedown attempt from Popper. Popper gets slowly back to his feet.
Popper misses with a takedown attempt - Fairtex sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Popper tries for a takedown but Fairtex sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Fairtex! Popper is out on his feet! Fairtex rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Popper is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Popper is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
