The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darsh tries to clinch up.
Tennis takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Tennis drives through and clinches with Darsh against the cage.
Darsh using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Tennis has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

It looks like Glen Tennis has been cut.

Darsh connects with a massive knee from the clinch and Tennis goes down! Darsh jumps into full mount looking to finish!


Tennis is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Darsh prevents Tennis from getting the reversal.

Tennis tries to lock up and control but Darsh gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Tennis can't escape the position.

Darsh blocks Tennis's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

Darsh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tennis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Tennis is trying to escape the mount.
Darsh avoids the attempt from Tennis to control.
Tennis throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.

Darsh prevents Tennis from improving his position.
The fighters are battling for position here. Tennis manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Darsh trying to control but Tennis is working from the bottom.

Tennis throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Tennis has control of Darsh's left arm, preventing Darsh from doing any damage.
Tennis is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Darsh wants to control but Tennis passes into side.

Tennis throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Tennis grinds an elbow into Darsh's temple.
Tennis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Darsh keeps working.
Tennis creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Darsh sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Tennis working the ground and pound but Darsh is defending the strikes.
Darsh parries the strikes from Tennis easily there. Tennis is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Darsh to escape.
Tennis works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Glen Tennis will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Darsh tries to clinch up
and Tennis counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

Tennis fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Darsh sprawls well initially but Tennis persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tennis is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Tennis throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Tennis takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Tennis thows a huge punch but Darsh dodges it nicely.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Darsh tries to clinch but Tennis moves away

and Tennis counters by moving into the clinch.

Glen Tennis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Tennis counters with a nice double leg into side control. Darsh won't be happy with that.

Tennis sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Darsh is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Tennis goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Darsh rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Tennis's guard! Nice work there by Darsh!
Tennis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Darsh won't allow Tennis to sweep him here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

A nice right hand lands inside from Darsh.
Darsh working the clinch nicely. Tennis is working for position but Darsh cracks him with a big knee to the head! Tennis crumples up against the cage and Darsh lands two more shots before the ref can save Tennis! This one is all over!
