PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shogan Aye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Police State (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). State is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Die for Metal. Police State told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

State lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Aye throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

It looked like Aye was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Aye works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Aye thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on State if he has to take too many more of those.
Aye closes the distance and clinches up with State, looking for a takedown. Aye pushes State against the cage but State circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

State has hold of Aye's hands but Aye slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

State is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Aye has latched onto it... Big trouble! Aye pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it State is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Aye!
