Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lima Barros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julius Briggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Briggs has chosen "Axeman" By tomandandy as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Briggs shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Barros but Barros pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Barros fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Briggs sprawls well initially but Barros persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Briggs is in trouble now - Barros has advanced to mount!
Barros scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Briggs is bucking up trying to escape but Barros cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Briggs really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barros. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Barros postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Briggs badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Barros around the waist but Barros pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Barros is the winner by TKO! Barros jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lima Barros!
