Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 119 - 3, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frito Lei!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tom Fing!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lei takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Lei moves into range and clinches up with Fing.
Lei displaying some good clinch control by pressing Fing up against the cage.
Lei can't find room to land a body shot as Fing controls the action.

Lei breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Lei pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Lei putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Fing in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Lei misses with a shot to the kidneys.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lei breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Fing blocks a head kick by Lei.
No joy there for Fing, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lei definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Lei throws out a leg kick but Fing moves out of range and Lei only half commits.
Fing unleashes a big counter combination but Lei bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Lei darts in and clinches Fing up against the cage.

Lei's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Fing looks to land a combination but Lei avoids it well.

Fing gets tackled into the cage by Lei. Lei maintains the clinch.

Lei manages to break the clinch.
Fing throws a right hand that Lei ducks under and follows up with a left that Lei also avoids with ease.
Fing fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fing is trying to break the clinch but Lei is controlling him.

A head kick by Lei - that's a beauty! Fing is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Lei can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Frito Lei!
