Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Omarr Lewith!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kannemeyer enables Lewith to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kannemeyer manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Lewith sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kannemeyer's guard.
Lewith not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Lewith is controlling the pace.

Lewith closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

You can see the frustration on Kannemeyer's face as Lewith controls the position.
Roy Kannemeyer overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Kannemeyer stops Lewith from passing to mount.
Lewith is staying tight to Kannemeyer's torso, preventing him from escaping.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Lewith wants to control but Kannemeyer is keeping him busy.

Omarr Lewith showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!



Kannemeyer shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kannemeyer showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are battling for position here. Lewith manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Lewith is pulling down on Kannemeyer's head. It's preventing any offense from Kannemeyer, at least for the moment.
Lewith is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Kannemeyer won't allow Lewith to pass to mount.
Lewith uses his free foot to push down on Kannemeyer's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kannemeyer.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Lewith has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Lewith has control of Kannemeyer's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kannemeyer regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Kannemeyer wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Lewith.

Kannemeyer stops Lewith from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Lewith tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Kannemeyer is desperately trying to improve his position but Lewith has a good base and remains in mount.

Omarr Lewith comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Lewith has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
