Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Garturo Aatti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Grammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Garturo Aatti!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bobby Grammer!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Alyssa Summers and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aatti shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Aatti looks to score with a jab to the body but Grammer is just out of range.
Aatti fails with the takedown.

Aatti drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Aatti throws and elbow that misses. Grammer uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Aatti's guard. Nice move by Grammer!
Grammer is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Aatti is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Grammer wants to control from the top but Aatti keeps moving.

Aatti is trying to get back to full guard.
Grammer is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Grammer content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Aatti on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Aatti tries to get out of the position.
Aatti wants to get back to full guard but Grammer has mounted him!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Aatti is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Grammer controlling the pace for now.
Grammer's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Grammer can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Aatti is looking to escape.
Aatti wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

Grammer keeps control of the position easily here as Aatti tries to buck him off.
You can see the frustration on Aatti's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Aatti wants to control his opponent's hands but Grammer gets his hands free.
Aatti might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Aatti tries to escape but Grammer has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Aatti is keeping busy.
Aatti wants to get back to his feet.
Aatti is really stuck here.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Aatti staying busy and making it hard for Grammer to control.
Grammer looks gassed!
Aatti has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
I would not like to be Aatti right now.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Despite being in the dominant position, Bobby Grammer just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Aatti stuffs the takedown attempt from Grammer. Grammer gets slowly back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Bobby Grammer will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Aatti just trying to survive but Grammer is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Grammer controlling well, preventing Aatti from escaping the position.
Aatti trying to control the action but Grammer just sinks the hooks in.
Aatti is trying to get back to his feet but Grammer has full control of the position and if anything, Aatti has just worked his way into a worse spot.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
What can Aatti do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Aatti really must keep his cool here. He's controlling one of Grammer's hands and whilst he does that, he's got a chance of escaping the position.

Grammer controlling the position well here. Aatti rolled but Grammer kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Grammer is not going to allow Aatti to sit and survive in this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bobby Grammer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Grammer is trying to control the action in half guard but Aatti is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Aatti is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Grammer has taken his back!
I really don't envy Aatti right now.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Grammer's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Grammer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Aatti keeps working.
You can see the frustration on Aatti's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Garturo Aatti has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Grammer controls the position.
Aatti tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Grammer presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Grammer takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Bobby Grammer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Grammer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
