The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halla changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Kuusi gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Halla counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Kuusi thinking.
Halla scores with a shot to the body.
Halla cracks Kuusi with a good jab.
Kuusi shoots in looking for a takedown but Halla manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kuusi's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Halla appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Halla lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Halla scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kuusi doesn't seem bothered though.
Halla scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kuusi in his tracks.

Kuusi gets the takedown into side control.

Kuusi has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Halla is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Kuusi yanks on the arm and Halla is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Kuusi.
