The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Buttler darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Greer could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Greer wants to get back to full guard.

Buttler has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Buttler connects with a nice short shot to Greer's temple.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Buttler lands a nice short elbow.

Buttler swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Greer is now in Buttler's guard. A big mistake from Buttler there, giving up the dominant position!

and Greer counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Greer drops back looking for a leg! Buttler is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Buttler manages to kick Greer off! Greer jumps back into Buttler's guard.

Greer postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Buttler is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Greer, into his guard.
