Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kane Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Xoa Lim!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Shimada and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith has closed the distance and engaged Lim in a clinch.
Lim's coach down at Cozad MMA Tokyo was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Lim's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Smith blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Smith.
Smith blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Lim is trying to break free.
Smith manages to pull guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Smith holds on and takes a little breather.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Smith manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lim manages to get himself to full guard.
Lim is looking to stand up but Smith isn't so interested in that idea.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Smith works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Lim looks like he's trying to stand up.
Smith is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Lim pushes Smith off and gets back to his feet.
Lim tests Smith's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Lim with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Smith misses the jab.
Smith takes one to the chin there.
Lim scores with a decent looking hook.
It looks like Kane Smith has been cut.
Smith is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Smith takes a jab right on the kisser.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lim throws out a powerful jab.
Xoa Lim is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Smith shoots in looking for a takedown. Lim tries to sprawl out of it but Smith keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lim manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Lim scores with a decent looking hook.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lim is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Lim lands a nice looking body shot.
Smith shoots for a double leg takedown but Lim sprawls well. He's pushed Smith's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Lim tests Smith's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Nice body punch from Lim.
Smith closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Lim scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Lim lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Lim.
Smith shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lim sprawls well. Lim wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Smith gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kane Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smith is breathing heavily.
Lim with a hook.

Nice sprawl there from Lim as Smith shoots in.
Lim paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Lim scores with a sloppy right hand. Smith should have avoided that one.
Smith tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lim sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Smith somewhat.
Lim fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Smith on the side of the head.
Smith moves in looking to clinch but Lim pushes him off.
Lim lands a two punch combo.
Smith is rocked!
A combination from Lim does no damage.
Oh Smith is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Smith has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Smith there as he acknowledges the shot.
Lim lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Smith takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lim lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Smith falls backwards - clearly groggy! Lim dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Xoa Lim!
