And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marcus Davis!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hands looks to throw a body kick
and Davis counters with a right hand to the body.
Davis lands with an overhand left.
Hands throws a solid leg kick but Davis takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Hands.

Hands throws a body kick that misses.
Davis throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hands.
Some wild striking there from Davis.
Davis connects with a looping right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Davis takes a kick to the side of the head.
Hands misses with an attempted mid kick.
Davis cracks Hands with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Hands shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Marcus Davis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Hands finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Davis, as that shot connected.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Hands lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Davis has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Davis and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Davis throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hands.
Hands misses with a low kick as Davis jumps back.
Davis feints a jab promting Hands to slip. Davis then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Hands slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Davis has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.

and Davis counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Sloppy strikes from Davis. Those never looked like landing.

Hands shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Davis pinned against the cage. Davis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Davis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Davis lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hands circles away quickly and effectively.
Hands quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Davis ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hands moves away.
Davis just misses with a punch to the body.
Hands looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marcus Davis dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Davis lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Davis misses with a series of wild punches.
Hands tries to land a front kick but Davis steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Hands, right into the meat.
Davis throws a right and a left that Hands avoids nicely.

As Davis backs away, Hands returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Hands moves into the clinch.
Hands fails to pull guard.
Davis has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Hands escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Davis gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Davis wants to stand but Hands is controlling his posture from full guard.

Hands is working an open guard so Davis takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Davis takes a swing at Hands's ribcage but misses.
Davis's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Davis scores with a decent looking hook.
Davis misses with a double jab.
Hands attempts a counter takedown but Davis avoids it well and moves away.
Marcus Davis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Davis throws a series of punches but Hands avoids them all with ease.

Hands tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Davis shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hands eats them both and turns towards Davis to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
