The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodgers connects with a single shot there.
Rodgers lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Oshiro misses with a leg kick
and Rodgers connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Oshiro throws a push kick but Rodgers slaps the foot to one side.
Rodgers lands a jab to the nose.
Oshiro shoots and misses
and Rodgers counters with a stiff right hand.
Rodgers is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Oshiro tries to clinch
and Rodgers counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Oshiro thinking.
Good exchange - Rodgers coming out on top.

Oshiro throws a half hearted mid kick.
Rodgers went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Rodgers looks to land a combination. Oshiro sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Rodgers is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Rodgers clinches up against the cage.
Rodgers really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Oshiro takes a shot to the head.

Oshiro is rocked!
Rodgers lands with a left to the head.
Oshiro is still on wobbly legs! Can Rodgers finish him?
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Rodgers.
Rodgers lands a hook to the side of the head.
Rodgers creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Oshiro's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Oshiro drops to his knees and Rodgers pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
