Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between David Fair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aspen Springfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Springfield comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Traditional Fools - Street Surfin' kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fair wants to clinch.

Springfield closes the distance and clinches.
Fair lands an elbow inside.
Springfield is trying to pull guard but Fair has him pressed against the cage.
Fair tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Fair tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fair tries a knee to the head but Springfield blocks it.
Fair with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Fair using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Springfield has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Fair holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Fair scores a nice knee to the body.

Fair pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Springfield jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Fair walks away with a smile on his face. Springfield gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Fair connects with a knee to the head.

Fair tries a knee to the head but Springfield blocks it.
Fair misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Fair misses with a knee to the head.
Fair tries to land a knee to the head but Springfield blocks with his arms.

Springfield changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Fair fights it off and pushes away nicely.
David Fair has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aspen Springfield.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Springfield moves into range and clinches up with Fair.

Springfield jumps guard but Fair turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Springfield avoids a wild elbow strike from Fair.
Springfield tries to score a body lock takedown but Fair shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Springfield tries to pull guard but Fair forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Fair is breathing heavily.
Fair lands an elbow inside.

Fair using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Springfield has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Springfield blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Springfield pulls guard effortlessly.

Springfield is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Fair rolls with it to try and escape but Springfield cranks on the arm and Fair is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
