The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sakoenie moves into range and connects with a jab.
Bryant on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Sakoenie throws out a counter right but Bryant avoids it with no problem.
Bryant pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sakoenie connects with a crisp jab.

Bryant has closed the distance and engaged Sakoenie in a clinch.

Sakoenie tries to break the clinch but Bryant is controlling the position.

Bryant's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Bryant rushes Sakoenie and presses him up against the cage.
Sakoenie wants to get back to striking at distance but Bryant won't allow it.

Bryant breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Sakoenie misses with a jab, cross combination.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bryant looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Sakoenie looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Sakoenie lands the left hand.
A head kick by Bryant misses
and Sakoenie counters with a nice uppercut.

Bryant fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sakoenie, pushing him back against the cage.

Bryant pulls Sakoenie into guard.
Sakoenie wanted to stand there but Bryant had control of the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sakoenie wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Bryant's closed guard. He's half up but Bryant has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Bryant pivots and extends the arm, Sakoenie falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Bryant! Well done that man!
