Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Short (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Hampton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hampton has chosen the devil in i - slipknot as his entrance music. Harry Hampton told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Micheangelo Fripello and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Hampton or perhaps it was just good defense by Short, which made it look bad.
Short lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Short takes a kick to the side of the head.
It looks like David Short has been cut.
Hampton fails with the takedown.
Short slips under a jab.
Short throws a counter high kick but Hampton was just alert enough to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hampton has Short up against the cage in a clinch.
Short is working for takedown but Hampton is calmly controlling the position for now.

Short escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Hampton is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Short defends well.

Hampton feints and as Short raises his hands in defense, Hampton changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Hampton had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Short defends it easily.

Hampton keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Short's efforts to push away.
Short can't get the takedown.

Short gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Hampton.

It looked like Short was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Hampton.

Short ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Short no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Short can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hampton controls the pace.
Hampton wants to get up but he can't break Short's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Hampton looking to sit in guard and control but Short gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

That was a close second round but I would say that David Short will probably get the nod.

Harry Hampton comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Hampton has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
