The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loco keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Herman.

Herman displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Loco.

Loco decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Loco is looking to take a break and control but Herman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Herman is trying to maintain the position but Loco is very close to passing his half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Herman lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Herman stays in close to Loco's body and controls the position.

Herman wants to get up but he can't break Loco's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Herman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Steve Herman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Herman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Loco swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Herman drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Herman seems to have locked his on tight now - Loco screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Herman, as he picks up the win!
