Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Danny McCoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Dirt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Danny McCoy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Dirt!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dirt tries to close the distance and clinch but McCoy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dirt dives in for a single leg takedown but McCoy sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
McCoy takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Dirt dives in and grabs McCoy's left leg, looking for a takedown. McCoy pushes down on Dirt's head and hops out.

Dirt drives through with a takedown into guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. McCoy manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
McCoy gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Dirt.
Danny McCoy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Dirt.

McCoy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A punch combination from McCoy misses.
McCoy tests Dirt's chin there with a solid looking shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McCoy looks to land a combination. Dirt sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
McCoy lands the left hand.
McCoy misses with a two punch combination.
McCoy misses with a double jab.
Danny McCoy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McCoy scores with a punch to the head.
Dirt looks for a takedown but McCoy sprawls well.

Dirt tries to clinch but McCoy is having none of it.
McCoy throws a one two combo.

Dirt is rocked!
McCoy looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Dirt switches off momentarily and McCoy cracks him with a monster right hand! Dirt topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as McCoy dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by McCoy!
