The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maidana feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Lopez sprawling to the canvas! Lopez rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Maidana finish him?!
Lopez is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Maidana just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Lopez has gone limp and this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Marcos Maidana!
