The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rambusch avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Kovalenko closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rambusch to the mat! Rambusch manages to get full guard.

Rambusch escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kovalenko gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Rambusch is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Kovalenko tries to free his leg and advance position but Rambusch is retaining full guard.

Kovalenko lands a couple of elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kovalenko passes Rambusch's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Kovalenko is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Kovalenko winds up and cracks Rambusch with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Kovalenko has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
