The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
aboot closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rojek circles away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Rojek has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes aboot off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Rojek lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rojek thuds his right hand into aboot's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Rojek had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. aboot is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Rojek Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take aboot's back instead.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rojek is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of aboot's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take aboot's back!

Rojek has the hooks in. aboot is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Zenon Rojek.
