Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Renzo Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie shoots in but no luck this time.

Sanchez closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sanchez lands in his opponent's guard.

Sanchez is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Gracie is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Gracie is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Sanchez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Sanchez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sanchez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Gracie jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Sanchez manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Gracie is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sanchez has escaped the position, nice work there.
Gracie tries to move into full mount but can't pass Sanchez's legs.

Gracie thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Sanchez sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Sanchez moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Gracie stands and throws Sanchez's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Sanchez is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sanchez had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Gracie is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Sanchez Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Gracie's back instead.

Sanchez drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Sanchez as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Gracie screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Sanchez! Nice submission victory there!
