The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faye fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Mechers.
Mechers shoots in and bounces Faye off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Mechers looking to pass the guard.
Mechers passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.
Mechers wants to pass to mount but Faye is defending the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mechers seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Faye is looking to improve his position.
