PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Steve Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jhin Chang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taylor's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Paint in Black. The key to victory for Steve Taylor has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jhin Chang!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Glass and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Chang circles away from the clinch attempt.
Chang now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Taylor tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Chang decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Taylor's guard.

Taylor kicks Chang off and gets to his feet.
Taylor moves out of range of the strikes.
Taylor stuffs the takedown.
Taylor seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Taylor displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Chang throws out the jab.
Sloppy strikes from Taylor. Those never looked like landing.

And Chang tries to counter it with a takedown but Taylor pushes his down on his head and steps out.

It looked like Taylor was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Chang changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Taylor tries to avoid it but Chang manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Taylor to the ground. Taylor escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Taylor lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chang drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Taylor explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Taylor is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Chang can do to turn this around?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Chang looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Taylor is fending him off so far but Chang persists. Nope, Taylor circles away and we're back to standing.
Steve Taylor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jhin Chang.

Taylor lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

and Taylor counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!

After winning the bout, Steve Taylor thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
