Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chad Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vic Chai Big Chop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Ren Mimura and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes throws a sloppy body shot
and Big Chop counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Hughes is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Hughes preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Big Chop wants to take a breather but Hughes is having none of it.

Big Chop fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hughes avoids it really well and circles away.

and Hughes counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Hughes lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Big Chop is still in real trouble! Can Hughes finish him?
Hughes lands a big elbow - Big Chop is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Hughes!
