PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Klunky McCrunky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Obie Trice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think McCrunky might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to "I'm Too Sexy". The crowd seem to be enjoying Trice's choice of entrance music: Snitch. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCrunky tries to clinch but Trice is having none of it.
Trice tries to clinch but McCrunky moves away

and McCrunky counters with a nice double leg into side control. Trice won't be happy with that.

McCrunky decides to stand back up. McCrunky steps back and let's Trice get back to his feet.

McCrunky moves into the clinch successfully.
Trice keeps control of McCrunky as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
A short uppercut from McCrunky.
Trice lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Trice prevents McCrunky from breaking the clinch.

Trice tries to keep at a distance but McCrunky has taken the fight into the clinch.

Trice stands and steps away. McCrunky gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

and McCrunky counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

McCrunky holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Trice working over McCrunky with some ground and pound. McCrunky looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

McCrunky tries to lock up and control but Trice gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

McCrunky tries to lock up and control but Trice gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

That was a close round but I would say that Klunky McCrunky will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

McCrunky throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McCrunky throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Trice tries to clinch there but McCrunky circles away.

Oh McCrunky is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Trice manages to break the clinch.
McCrunky seems to have got his legs back now.
Obie Trice seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown by Trice or perhaps it was just good defense by McCrunky which made him look bad.
Trice tries for a takedown but McCrunky sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
McCrunky just misses with a punch to the body.
Trice is breathing heavily.
McCrunky moves out of range of the body kick.
McCrunky looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

McCrunky tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

McCrunky wants to stand up but Trice is controlling him.
McCrunky manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Trice manages to get himself to full guard.
McCrunky wants to control from the top but Trice keeps moving.
Trice wants to get back to his feet but McCrunky is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Trice can't keep his opponent in guard - McCrunky advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

McCrunky is taking a breather. Trice says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Trice makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

McCrunky has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Trice is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

McCrunky manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
McCrunky lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

McCrunky is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Trice still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Trice has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McCrunky wants to control but Trice postures up.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

McCrunky jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Trice manages to avoid the submission attempt.

McCrunky tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Trice wants to break free but McCrunky has control.

McCrunky breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

McCrunky shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. McCrunky showed some decent athleticism there.
McCrunky prevents Trice from improving his position.
McCrunky is nestled in close to Trice, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

McCrunky stands up and waves to Trice to follow him.

and Trice counters with a one-two to the body.

It looks like Klunky McCrunky has been cut.
McCrunky does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
McCrunky shoots in but Trice avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and McCrunky makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Klunky McCrunky has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Obie Trice.
Trice wants to clinch
and Trice takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Trice tries to land a front kick but McCrunky steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Trice's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Trice duly obliges.

Trice slips a nice elbow through McCrunky's hands, connecting with McCrunky's forehead.

Trice stands up and beckons McCrunky to join him on the feet.

McCrunky throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

McCrunky throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Trice colapses and takes a barrage of punches from McCrunky as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Trice is left battered and dazed whilst McCrunky and his camp cheer!
