The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Astakhov closes the distance and pushes Blue back into the cage.
Blue lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Astakhov could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Astakhov works on Blue's body with a couple of short punches.
Blue tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Astakhov lands a hook to the side of the head.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Astakhov creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Astakhov lands a left hand that snaps the head of Blue backwards.

It looks like Mickey Blue has been cut.
Astakhov keeps control of Blue as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Astakhov lands with a short shot to the head.
Blue tries to pull guard but Astakhov forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Astakhov creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Blue with a big uppercut! Blue tries to clinch up but Astakhov pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Blue to the mat! Blue covers up and Astakhov unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Nikita Astakhov!
