Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between CM Punk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevon Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and Bart Greer.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Punk shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Allen pinned against the cage. Allen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Allen pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Allen shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Punk is trying to defend but Allen finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Punk is trying to get back to full guard.
Allen takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Allen tries to pass to full mount but Punk defends it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Allen thows a huge punch but Punk dodges it nicely.

Allen looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Allen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Punk is just riding it out for now. Allen eventually gives up the hold.

Punk makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Allen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Punk avoids it really well and circles away.
Punk throws a head kick that misses.

Allen clinches up with Punk and pushes him back against the cage.
Come on Punk - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Punk jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Allen walks away with a smile on his face. Punk gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Allen manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Punk on his heels. He'll look to pass Punk's guard now, I'm sure.

Allen tries to free his leg and advance position but Punk is retaining full guard.
Punk knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Allen on the ground.
Punk is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Punk stalling away here and it's allowed Allen to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Allen is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Punk is controlling him.
Punk stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Allen swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Punk shoots in for a double leg but Allen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Allen ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Allen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Horrible takedown attempt by Punk or perhaps it was just good defense by Allen, which made it look bad.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Punk has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Allen is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Well Allen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
