Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cinder Smaug (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fatu Tua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tua has chosen Freak on a Leash by Korn as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

I was talking to Smaug's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

It looks like Cinder Smaug has been cut.
Tua scores with a one two! Smaug had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Tua takes a swing at Smaug's ribcage but misses.
Smaug lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Smaug connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Tua lands a left and a right that send Smaug crashing to the mat, dazed. Tua thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Tua throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Smaug stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Cinder Smaug's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

That was a close second round but I would say that Cinder Smaug will probably get the nod.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Smaug here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

A relieved looking Cinder Smaug thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
