The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnkvist fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
De La Fuente wants to clinch up but Barnkvist keeps it at a distance.
Barnkvist tries to counter by moving into the clinch but De La Fuente manages to circle out of the way.
De La Fuente fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Barnkvist takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Barnkvist is breathing heavily.
De La Fuente is looking to clinch.
As De La Fuente looks to move away, Barnkvist throws a big counter combo but De La Fuente just gets out of the way.
De La Fuente feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Barnkvist sprawling to the canvas! Barnkvist rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can De La Fuente finish him?!
Barnkvist is rocked!
It looks like Peter Barnkvist has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Barnkvist is aggressively charging in as De La Fuente backs up avoiding any damage. De La Fuente tosses out a jab and Barnkvist runs right into it face first! Barnkvist is out cold! De La Fuente dropped down on all fours and is barking in Barnkvist's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Cristobal De La Fuente!
