Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Viktor Gragula (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roman Kvasov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kvasov has chosen Diskoteka avaria-Nebo as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Viktor Gragula!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 37 - 39 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roman Kvasov!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Kvasov.
Kvasov throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Gragula on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Kvasov fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Kvasov has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Kvasov's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kvasov lands with a hook. Gragula tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kvasov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gragula.
Kvasov lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Kvasov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Gragula drops down looking for a counter takedown but Kvasov sprawls and moves away.
Kvasov misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kvasov lands with a thumping leg kick.

Gragula moves into the clinch.
Gragula has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Kvasov after a bit of a struggle.

Gragula pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kvasov smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Kvasov lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Kvasov throws a head kick that misses.
Gragula appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Kvasov scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Roman Kvasov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kvasov misses with an uppercut.
Kvasov misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kvasov scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Gragula moves away from the strike by Kvasov.
Kvasov scores with a hook to the body. Gragula takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Gragula shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Gragula was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Gragula thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Gragula wants to control but Kvasov is keeping him busy.

Gragula is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kvasov is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gragula trying to control the action but Kvasov is working from the bottom.

Gragula wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kvasov, who protects the arm well.

Kvasov throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Gragula has his takedown stuffed
and Kvasov cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Viktor Gragula. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kvasov throws a head kick that misses.
Kvasov thuds a left hand into Gragula's body.
Kvasov connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Gragula momentarily.
Gragula shoots in for a takedown but Kvasov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Gragula tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kvasov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A countering left hand to the body from Kvasov misses.
Nice shot lands for Kvasov.
Kvasov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kvasov scores with a jab to the jaw.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gragula tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kvasov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Gragula takes a kick to the side of the head.
Kvasov throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Gragula's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kvasov gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Gragula tries to free his leg and advance position but Kvasov is retaining full guard.

Gragula is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Kvasov keeping moving, preventing Gragula from controlling successfully.

Gragula thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Roman Kvasov dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Gragula slips a jab and a cross from Kvasov.
Kvasov throws a right and a left that Gragula avoids nicely.
Gragula changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Gragula on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Kvasov. Kvasov obviously looking to wear him down.
Gragula shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kvasov sprawls well. Kvasov wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gragula gets slowly back to his feet.
Gragula goes for a double leg but Kvasov avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kvasov continues to drive forward.
Roman Kvasov seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Gragula moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gragula walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Kvasov leaves Gragula with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Viktor Gragula. That's going to take a lot out of him.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Gragula.
Kvasov appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.

Kvasov goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Kvasov works over Gragula's head and body with a nice combination.
Gragula takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kvasov looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Kvasov drops Gragula with a beautiful combination! Gragula stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Kvasov is looking for the KO!

Kvasov has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Roman Kvasov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kvasov fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Oh Gragula is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kvasov lands a really nice looking cross but Gragula seems unphased.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Kvasov! Gragula is out on his feet! Kvasov rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Gragula is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Gragula is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Roman Kvasov!
Our winner, Roman Kvasov, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
Viktor Gragula spoke after the fight, saying 'I hate werewolves'.
