The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barrett slips a jab from Suopursu.
Barrett half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Suopursu throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Barrett counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Suopursu thinking.
Suopursu tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Barrett is able to avoid easily.
Suopursu fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Suopursu misses with a body punch
and Barrett counters with a series of strikes. Suopursu will be more careful next time no doubt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Suopursu rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Barrett counters with a good, hard body kick but Suopursu shrugs it off.
Suopursu throws an overhand right that lands on Barrett's shoulder, as Barrett tries to avoid the shot.
Barrett misses with a series of wild punches.

Barrett uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Suopursu.
As Suopursu looks to move away, Barrett throws a big counter combo but Suopursu just gets out of the way.
Suopursu digs a good body shot into Barrett's ribs.

Suopursu tries to sprawl but Barrett drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Suopursu wants to control but Barrett is keeping busy.
Suopursu regains full guard. Nicely done.
Suopursu is trying to control the position but Barrett postures up.
Barrett working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Barrett's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Suopursu looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Suopursu pushes a forearm under Barrett's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Barrett is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
