Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between AJ Fresh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Ryder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryder falls off balance throwing a combination
and Fresh counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Eric Ryder has been cut.
Ryder throws a jab but it's blocked by Fresh.
Fresh has been working on his boxing with his coaches at ReEvolution MMA in the buildup to the fight.
Fresh avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Ryder gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Fresh.
Fresh throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Fresh throws a head kick that misses.
Fresh fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ryder manages to avoid it.
As Fresh backs off Ryder throws a huge counter combo but Fresh manages to avoid it all.

Ryder has taken the fight to the clinch.
Fresh trying to stall but Ryder improves his position.
Fresh swings wildly with an uppercut but Ryder uses good head movement to avoid it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fresh blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Ryder fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Fresh lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Ryder backwards.
A frustrated look appears on Fresh's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Ryder misses with a straight right.
Fresh was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Fresh fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ryder manages to avoid it.
Fresh lands with a nice body punch.
Fresh throws a head kick but Ryder moves out of range.
Ryder misses with a looping right.
Fresh throws a quick counter head kick but Ryder was just out of range.
Ryder throws a low kick but it's checked well by Fresh.
Fresh fires out a quick counter leg kick but Ryder just manages to avoid it.
Fresh scores with a jab to the jaw.
A slow jab from Ryder misses its intended target.
Fresh throws a counter high kick but Ryder was just alert enough to avoid it.
Ryder blocks a head kick by Fresh.
Fresh attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Ryder misses with a wild body shot.
Ryder misses with a series of wild punches.
It looked like Fresh was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Ryder.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fresh bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Ryder's head.
Ryder darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fresh tries a head kick but it misses.
Fresh staying out of range there.
As Ryder backs away, Fresh returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Fresh could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Ryder scores with a jab.
Fresh fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ryder looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Ryder ducks into a a hook from Fresh and goes down! He looks in a bit of a mess; will he beat the count?! 4,5,6,7,8 - he's up and looking to carry on! The referee looks into his eyes and sees that he's OK to continue!

Ryder is rocked!

That has opened up Eric Ryder's cut even more.
Ryder walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Fresh! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!
