Cruz kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is My Way - Limpbizkit. Asano Kana looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Kana.
Cruz swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Cruz blocks a head kick by Kana.
Kana throws a lazy body kick
and Cruz counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Kana takes the fight into the clinch.
Cruz looking for a takedown.
Cruz is trying to drag Kana to the mat but Kana just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Cruz jumps guard but Kana stands there with Cruz around his waist. Cruz gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kana told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rafael Cruz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kana throws a knee to the head but misses.
Kana looks winded!

Cruz has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kana uses from the top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cruz looking for a triangle here. Kana is fighting it but it looks tight! Cruz pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Kana is tapping out - this one is all over!
