The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryzudan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Meadows feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Meadows thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Meadows drops back looking for a leg! Ryzudan is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ryzudan manages to kick Meadows off! Meadows jumps back into Ryzudan's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Meadows lands a couple of elbows.

Ryzudan is working an open guard so Meadows takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Meadows tries to counter by clinching up but Ryzudan breaks away and moves out of range.
Jeffery Meadows has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gon Ryzudan.
Ryzudan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Ryzudan is trying to maintain the position but Meadows is very close to passing his half guard.

Meadows has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Ryzudan defend it? Meadows steps over the head and cranks it - Ryzudan is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Meadows!
