The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conlon throws a sloppy head kick
and Meyers counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Nice takedown defense from Meyers. No joy for Conlon on that attempt.
It looked like Meyers was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Conlon.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

so Meyers counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

That has opened up Brendan Conlon's cut even more.
Conlon has momentary wrist control but Meyers slips an elbow through the middle.

Brendan Conlon's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
